Tuesday Life Drawing

Been feeling a bit under the weather the past few days. That may explain the roughness of tonight's drawings.
I'm going to try a bit of watercolour next week I think.

2012

The first half of 2012 is going to be pretty busy for me. I’ve got lots of comics and illustration projects that I’m eager to share.

My first comic work of this year is the Afterlife Inc holiday special. It’s a little bit late but December was pretty hectic, so go over to Jon’s site and have a read. You’ll notice that I make an appearance as a character and it’s not a particularly flattering rendition.

In Mid-January ‘Eponymous’ will make its debut on Facebook. This new superhero comic is the brainchild of writer Mike Garley. The Facebook page has all the details for the project as well as costume designs, logo designs and an awesome pin-up by Sally Thompson. If you’re a Facebook user please check out the page and give it a ‘like’. It would make us very happy!

Here’s a sneaky preview of a comic I’m working on with my brother, Sam.

If you’ve looked through my portfolio at conventions then you may have seen a few pages of this. I’ll be posting bits and pieces to hopefully get folks as excited in this project as we are. I’m going to be working flat out to get the comic ready for the Ka-Pow convention in May.

I’m also working on a story for Accent UK’s new anthology entitled ‘WHO ON EARTH WAS THADDEUS MIST”. I’ll keep the blog up to date as this unfolds.

And finally, a CLiNT magazine submission with writer Darren Ellis. It’s about a samurai in Hell. Need I say more…

My new years resolution is to post up lots more finished artwork here as well as doing my best to use social networking with a bit more frequency. Make sure to call me out if I haven’t posted anything for ages.

I’ll be using my Twitter as a sort of sketchbook from now on. If you’re on twitter you can follow me @JDTempest.

I think that’s enough talk… back to work.
